Far across the sea, at the edge of the world, there is a tiny island called Iona...
The quiet will surround you and comfort you; the wind from the west will bring you the sound of the sea- the same sea that has been gazed at for thousands of years. One looks out to the west to see the Atlantic; one looks east to see Mull and Fionnphort and its quiet peace, as well.

I miss the cold and the wonderful peaceful feelings I had when on Iona, one of the little islands off of the coast of Scotland. The Isle of Mull is the closest one to Iona and is full of sheep and trees and dark.
The Isle of Iona is spiritual in a very deep sense- one does not need to be religious or spiritual themselves to feel it. And it is old.

Aaah, I can wax nostalgic about Iona and Mull and Scotland in general for a goodly while. Forgive me. This should be in the other account, anyway, but it is ending up here. Go figure. (Also, that is one of the three roads on Iona. That one melds into the one heading north, the other heads south and then turns west to the sea. We walked a little ways North, and then went back to the ferry-landing and took the southern road and headed West to see the Atlantic ocean from the west, which is a very unusual sight to one who has only ever seen it facing East.)
